From: Nathan Bloomfield
First there is this progression which is exactly the same as the keyboard.
E--14---------------------------------------------
B------16--14--16--141414--16--12--11-11-12-14-12-
G-------------------------------------------------
E--14(bend up and back)--------------------------
B-----------------------16--14--16--141414-14-12-
G------------------------------------------------
"I,want to fly, to heaven, Just fr the weekend"
The verse is set around these chords: B G# C#m D# That's basically what
the accostic guitar plays. On top of that, at the end of each phrase, an
electric plays this:
E--------
B--------
G--6-/8--
D--6-/8--
A--------
E--------
The change is played thus:
(the second bit here is what is played at the end of the phrase, the second
time it is played)
E------------------- * -----------------------------
B------------9-8---- * -----------------------------
G------------9-8---- * --8-8-10-8-10-8-10-8-10-8-10-
D--9-9-8-7-6-9-8-6-- * --6-6-6--6-6--6-6--6-6--6-6--
A--9-9-8-7-6-7-6-6-- * -----------------------------
E--7-7-6-5-4-----4-- * -----------------------------
after that its, "I'm not on yr guest list" which is C#m and F# (played with
only the very top notesof the F# chord). Then its back to the keyboards and
the verse.
"oh melody, you are wild..."
E.........A.........C#m
"oh melody, you can't be tamed..."
E..........A.............C#m
then the bit where the keyboards are going crazy is just C A E repeated
over and over...
Then it is back to the main progression.
