Thank You Girl
By
Lennon/McCartney
This is the harmonica version on the Capitol Records release The Beatles Second Album.
Intro: A chord (8 beats) then G chord (8 beats) strumming fast all downbeats (repeat one more time this time singing the "Oh, Oh" on the A and then the G
chord).
D
You been good to me, you made me glad when i was blue (at the end of this verse play an down/up/down/up sweep of the G chord and then back to the D chord
for the next verse).
D
and eternally, i'll always be in love with you
G A G A
and all i gotta do is thank you girl, thank you girl
D
I can tell the world a thing or two about our love (same as above after verse)
D
I know little girl, only a fool would doubt our love
G A G A
and all i gotta do is thank you girl, thank you girl
Bridge:
A D
Thank you girl for loving me the way that you do (way that you do)
A D
that's the kind of love that is too good to be true
(back to chorus)
G A G A
and all i gotta do is thank you girl, thank you girl
(Repeat intro)
D
You been good to me, you made me glad when i was blue (remember to add that bit of the G here)
D
and eternally, i'll always be in love with you
G A G A
and all i gotta do is thank you girl, thank you girl
The ending is the same as the intro, but with a fast alternating between the D and G chords after the "oh, oh" on the A/G chords, this is done twice and
then the final "oh, oh" on the A/G, then it's a D chord that ends the song. Hope this made sense, do play along to the song if you aren't already.
